Scores of admirers camped outside the Royal Monceau hotel just to catch a two second glimpse of her blowing kisses. According to onlookers, Dion looks relaxed, radiant, and completely unfazed by the crowd of adults weeping on the pavement over a passing wave. When journalists pressed her on the opening song for her Paris residency, she kept her lips sealed. That is right, professional reporters stood in the rain to ask a singer to ruin her own setlist two weeks early.

Behind the celebrity circus, this comeback actually means something. The 58 year old pop legend had to cancel her world tour back in 2022 after revealing her diagnosis with stiff person syndrome, a horrific, rare neurological condition that causes severe muscle spasms.
So what does she do after battling a life altering illness? She books 26 dates at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre.
That is an arena that holds 40,000 spectators every single night. We last saw her singing from the Eiffel Tower during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony, and now she is preparing to haul in millions of euros across late 2026 and May 2027.
The French public loves her like national treasure. Dion calls Paris her second home, which is convenient when your second home happens to offer five star luxury, tax breaks, and thousands of people cheering every time you step onto a balcony.
It is a bloody brilliant recovery, even if the media coverage makes you want to throw your television out the window.
The 2026-2027 residency will feature 16 shows in September and October, followed by a further 10 concerts in May 2027.
