Boxing fans love nothing more than watching grown men exchange heavy blows for millions of pounds, especially when the script throws in a bit of sudden chaos. Anthony Joshua gave his supporters a proper fright before delivering a dramatic knockout against Kosovo-Albanian opponent Nelson Prenga, setting up a long awaited heavyweight showdown with Tyson Fury.

Joshua hit the canvas twice during an absolute rollercoaster of a contest. The former two time world champion looked like he was heading for another devastating upset before he dug deep, flipped the script, and dropped Prenga for the final count.

Double Trouble in the Early Rounds

The heavy hitting Prenga clearly did not read the pre fight hype manual. He caught Joshua flush in the opening rounds, sending AJ to the canvas not once, but twice. For a few terrifying minutes, boxing fans held their breath as Joshua scrambled to find his footing on the ring mat.

Joshua managed to beat the referee’s count both times, shaking off the cobwebs while Prenga hunted for an early stoppage.

“He caught me cold, no doubt about it,” Joshua admitted to QtrlyEdition after the fight. “I had to dust myself off, stick to the game plan, and show what I am made of.”

The Comeback and the Blockbuster Future

Joshua showed top tier grit, adjusting his stance and steadily wearing down Prenga with sharp jabs and heavy right hands. By the time the stoppage arrived, Joshua had completely turned the tide, landing a crushing combination that left the referee with zero choice but to wave off the bout.

The dramatic win clears the final hurdle for an all British megafight against Tyson Fury. Promoters have teased this clash for years, and now both fighters appear ready to lock horns in the ring at long last.

Will Joshua drop the ball against the Gypsy King, or will he land the ultimate knockout blow? Heavyweight boxing rarely delivers smooth sailing, but fans can certainly expect plenty of fireworks when those two finally share a ring.
