So Her Madgesty, bless her cotton socks, is back in the studio, apparently. This may be old news now as it was announced back in February, but for those that missed it, at 66, what else would a global pop icon be doing besides trying to reclaim her disco crown?
We’re all chuffed, of course, that the Queen of Pop, Madonna, is cooking up “Confessions Part 2” with her old mate Stuart Price. She’s been teasing the much anticipated sequel to her 2005 album ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’. Because nothing screams “new and exciting” like a sequel to an album from 2005, eh?
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the pop superstar revealed, “My Valentine’s Day gift to all my fans is to let you know I’m putting my heart and soul into my new music and I can’t wait to share it with you!! ‘Confessions Part 2′.” And she wants to share it with us! How terribly sweet.

It’s not like she’s been doing this for a hundred years. Her post included a behind the scenes gallery of her in the recording studio with longtime collaborator and producer/DJ Stuart Price. Price helped shape the sound of Confessions on a Dance Floor and contributed to her 2003 album American Life. Their creative synergy is clear from previous tours: the 2001 Drowned World Tour, the innovative Re-Invention World Tour in 2004, and the 2006 Confessions Tour. Most recently, Price worked with Madonna on The Celebration Tour, captivating audiences from 2023 to 2024.
Confessions Part 2 marks Madonna’s first album since 2019’s Madame X, signalling both a nod to her storied past and an exciting new direction.
As she wrote in another Instagram update: “Working on new music with Stuart Price. These past few months have been medicine for my SOUL. Songwriting and making music are the one area where I don’t need to ask anyone for their permission. I’m so excited to share it with you. Who wants to hear new music in 2026!”
Don’t get us wrong, we love a bit of Ciccone strutting her stuff. She’s a legend and an unstoppable force in pop culture. Fans of hits like Hung Up, Sorry, and Jump can expect a familiar yet modern sound in Confessions Part 2. The album promises to blend classic disco grooves with innovative electro pop elements, keeping Madonna at the forefront of musical trends. And yes, she’s ready to compete with whippersnappers like Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo. Good on her. But honestly, love, maybe slow down before you pull a hamstring doing the Hung Up dance. We’re for you doing your thing, and we’ll be there, cheering you on. Just maybe consider a comfy armchair for the next tour, eh?
As anticipation mounts for this highly awaited project, both longtime fans and new listeners alike are eager to see how Madonna will continue to evolve her sound. With Confessions Part 2 on the horizon, it’s clear that the Queen of Pop is once again ready to transform the music scene, proving that even decades into her illustrious career, she remains an unstoppable force in pop culture.
Expected in 2026, so plenty of time to get your dancing shoes polished. Let’s hope it’s not a case of “Oops, I did it again,” but rather “Vogue” all over again. New music, disco pop, electro pop, pop icon, dance music.. get ready, the Material Girl is back, whether you asked for it or not!
