Amran Hussain, 40, British-Bangladeshi who fraudulently secured 13 NHS jobs by lying about his qualifications and experience has been jailed for four years. Appeared at Maidstone Crown Court after previously admitting fraud offences that cost taxpayers almost £170,000.
Hussain was exposed after securing a senior role at the Devon Partnership NHS Trust (DPT) in 2021. He claimed in his application that he was employed as Director of Transformation and Improvement at the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT).
Enquiries by the Devon Partnership NHS Trust found no record of his claimed position and the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust later confirmed that it had never employed Hussain. He was found to have used fake references in support of his job applications.
