This loan move is being spun as a “chance to revive” his career. But let’s be realistic. How many “chances” does one get at the very top level before it becomes clear that the consistency just isn’t there? Doctors knew their salary, and Rashford knew the demands of being a top footballer. He’s had every opportunity, every resource, and every kind of support at one of the biggest clubs in the world. Yet, he still fell out of favour.
So, here we are. Rashford takes his talents to Catalonia, hoping for a fresh start.
