Manchester United have put in a commanding performance, securing a 4-1 victory over Bournemouth in a Premier League Summer Series friendly. The win, which took place in windy Chicago, has given the Red Devils a solid footing ahead of the new season.

The match was a goal fest for United, who were in fine form. Rasmus Hojlund got the ball rolling, putting them ahead with a tidy finish. It was a day of two halves for new signing Matthijs de Ligt, who unfortunately scored an own goal to level things up, but United didn’t get bogged down.

They quickly bounced back, with Patrick Dorgu showing his class to net a goal and Amad Diallo proving he has a real shot at a first-team place with a goal of his own. The real golden moment, however, came from teenager Ethan Williams, who sealed the victory with a strike that’s sure to have him over the moon.

This result marks United’s second win in their US tour, and it’s clear they’re not just kicking about. With another fixture against Everton still to play, they’re looking to strike while the iron is hot and get their tactics in place before the real kick off of the season.
