Williams has confirmed they’ll reveal their 2025 F1 car, the FW47, on February 14 and it’s set to make a splash with a unique one-off livery before the team shows off the official race design at F1’s season launch at London’s The O2.
The unveiling will take place at Silverstone in front of fans, sponsors, and media, kicking off what promises to be an exciting new chapter for Williams. With Carlos Sainz joining Alex Albon on the grid, the team is gearing up to climb the ranks and challenge at the front.
Team Principal James Vowles is buzzing about the year ahead: “We’ve got so much to be excited about in 2025 talented drivers like Alex and Carlos, top engineers coming on board, and new facilities opening at Grove. We’ve been working hard on the FW47 and can’t wait to reveal it at Silverstone. Everyone’s fully committed to bringing Williams back to where it belongs as we approach the big rule changes in 2026. It’s going to be an exciting ride.”
Albon, heading into his fourth season with Williams, added, “The factory team is giving it their all to get the car ready. Launching on February 14 feels like the perfect way to kick off a key year for us. We’ll be pushing hard with both cars from day one and looking ahead to 2026 with lots of optimism. I can’t wait to see all the hard work come to life.”
Sainz is equally eager after sampling the Williams car at last year’s post-season test in Abu Dhabi. “This is a crucial moment for the team, and we’re all determined to get Williams back near the front as soon as possible,” he said. “I was really impressed with the team in Abu Dhabi. After a long season, seeing their motivation and effort at such an important test was inspiring. Thanks to that, we’ve got a solid plan in place and have already started working hard to be ready for pre-season testing and race one.
